In partnership with Queanbeyan City Council, TechCollect held a very successful one-day recycling event on Saturday 10 May at the Collette Street Carpark, Queanbeyan.

With the assistance of Toll, an incredible 335 cars visited during the day, with 140 of them arriving before 10am. Not having access to a car did not stop some residents from delivering their unwanted e-waste on foot, via taxi and push bike, with one elderly gentleman even arriving on foot, transporting his unwanted monitor on his walking frame!

In total a massive three semi-trailer loads of e-waste were collected, making Queanbeyan one of our most successful one-day recycling events to date!

“The Queanbeyan event was one of the busiest we’ve had, with a constant flow of residents dropping off their e-waste. A big thank you to the Toll staff who assisted us at the event and worked tirelessly in freezing temperatures and intermittent rain showers,” said Sonya Blondinau, GM Operations.
